Generally, I like things that have a decent sense of humor to them, more than anything else. From my experience, there is usually room for that to exist, even in darker media. Visually it depends how well something is executed more so than the style it is rendered in for me. There are tons of examples of design, art, films and music from a broad range of approaches that I enjoy. I must admit that I have never thought too deeply about how and where my “taste” for visual design and art (in general) have developed from. As I have gotten older and more secure in accepting what I like, I have found that my preferences have gotten much broader than they used to be. It feels more subconscious than a deliberate curation when I think about how I’ve decided what I like.

The assignments this week revolving around movie poster design were a treat for me because I really love watching films. Adding my Texas Chainsaw Massacre Poster so it can live somewhere.
